Baja at a slower pace

The 2027 Only Vans Slow Baja Winter Expedition is a guided VW van convoy through Northern Baja, following routes scouted in advance. With Michael Emery of Slow Baja leading the way, the journey connects remote ranches, private nature preserves, and striking coastlines, with time to enjoy the places and people along the road.

01 / THE ROAD

Backroads & wide horizons

Explore gentle dirt roads and Baja’s coastal landscapes in the company of fellow VW enthusiasts.

02 / THE EXPERIENCE

Ranches, stars & whales

Camp beneath the stars, enjoy local food and horseback riding, and go whale watching at Ojo de Liebre lagoon.

03 / THE FINISH

A night by the water

Round off the adventure with a beachfront hotel stay on the shores of the Gulf of California.

We’re proud to be part of the crew

Shane Jordan of LiveTheVanLife Restorations will be joining Michael Emery alongside Lucas and Taylor from GoWesty and Harley Sitner from Peace Vans. We’re excited to share the road with people who care so deeply about these vans, the adventures they make possible, and the community around them.

Here in La Paz, we spend our days helping people keep their VWs on the road and ready for the next chapter. Getting out into Baja with a convoy of fellow van lovers feels like the perfect way to celebrate why we do it. We’ll be bringing our enthusiasm for these vehicles, our workshop experience, and our love of the place we call home.

We’re looking forward to meeting the people behind the vans, swapping stories over a meal, and sharing those small moments that make a trip stay with you: the view around the next bend, a conversation that carries on long after dinner, and the friendships that come from a week on the road together.

It’s a privilege to be included alongside such wonderful people. We can’t wait to be a part of it.
