For customers who prefer a simple, hands-off way to get their vehicle to our shop, we offer personal vehicle collection for $550 per travel day, plus travel expenses.
We personally coordinate pickup, drive your vehicle to Tijuana, manage the cross-border transport process, and arrange onward transportation to our workshop in La Paz. It is a more convenient way to begin your restoration, with direct accountability and experienced handling of the logistics involved in bringing your vehicle into Mexico.

Clear arrangements for each leg
The personal driving leg takes your vehicle to Tijuana. Onward transportation to La Paz is arranged separately with a transport provider. We will discuss the proposed route and handovers with you before collection.

Travel expenses at cost
The cost of the trip depends on your vehicle’s location and the itinerary. Travel expenses are billed separately at cost and may include:
- Airfare
- Hotels
- Ground transportation
- Fuel
- Tolls and parking
The onward carrier’s transport charge is separate from the personal collection fee. Any other vehicle-specific costs should be identified in your collection arrangements.
Understand the full journey before booking
Ask us to confirm the expected number of billable travel days, the travel-expense estimate, the onward transport quote, and the billing currency. The $550 daily rate is the service fee; it is not an all-inclusive price for delivering a vehicle to La Paz.
A simple planning example
For a collection agreed at three billable travel days, the service fee would be 3 × $550 = $1,650, plus travel expenses and onward transportation. This is an illustration, not a trip estimate.
Travel days & timing
The itinerary determines the travel days required. Confirm how travel to the pickup, return travel, partial days, and unexpected delays will be treated in your individual quote.

How personal collection works.
Tell us about your vehicle
Send the year, make and model, current city, whether it runs and drives, your preferred collection window, and the restoration work you have in mind. Recent photos and known mechanical issues help us assess the journey.
Agree the route and costs
We discuss the pickup arrangements, expected travel days, travel expenses, border logistics, and onward transportation. Confirm the plan and workshop scheduling before travel is booked.
Prepare for a personal handover
Agree who will hand over the keys, review the vehicle’s condition and operating instructions, and have the required documents ready. We personally collect the vehicle at the agreed location.
Let us coordinate the journey south
We drive the vehicle to Tijuana, manage the cross-border transport process, and arrange the onward leg to La Paz. The exact movement and handover plan is confirmed for your vehicle.
Bring the vehicle into your workshop plan
Arrival is coordinated with the shop. Collection and transportation are part of getting the vehicle here; the restoration schedule and agreed scope of work remain part of your separate project arrangements.

Vehicle condition & instructions
- Tell us about starting, cooling, braking, steering, tire, or electrical issues before agreeing a drive.
- Disclose fluid leaks, overheating, warning lights, and any intermittent faults.
- Provide instructions for alarms, battery isolators, immobilizers, and unusual controls.
- Share dimensions and details of high roofs, racks, lifts, or external equipment that may affect transport.
- Agree a different transport plan if the vehicle cannot safely complete the driving leg.
Documents & handover
- Confirm the ownership, registration, identification, and authorization documents needed for your arrangement.
- Confirm appropriate insurance for the driving and transport stages before departure.
- Take dated photos and record existing damage, mileage, keys, and any agreed contents.
- Remove valuables and nonessential personal belongings; discuss anything that will travel inside.
- Provide the pickup contact, access instructions, and an agreed handover time.
Document and border requirements depend on the vehicle and arrangement. We will discuss what needs to be checked for your collection; a booking does not guarantee acceptance by border authorities or a carrier.

Before you hand over the keys.
Is $550 the total cost of getting my vehicle to La Paz?
No. It is the personal collection service fee per travel day. Airfare, hotels, ground transportation, fuel, tolls, and parking are billed separately at cost. Onward carrier transportation is also separate. Ask for a journey-specific estimate before booking.
Where can you collect my vehicle?
Tell us the vehicle’s current city and preferred dates. We assess each pickup individually based on location, the route to Tijuana, vehicle condition, travel arrangements, and availability.
Do you personally drive the vehicle all the way to La Paz?
The service described here includes personally driving your vehicle to Tijuana and arranging onward transportation to our shop in La Paz. The onward leg is a separate transport arrangement, discussed with you as part of the plan.
What if my vehicle is not running or is not roadworthy?
Let us know before collection is arranged. The personal driving leg requires a vehicle suitable for the journey. A non-running or unsafe vehicle needs a different transport plan, with acceptance, equipment, and costs confirmed in advance.
Do you help with the border process?
Yes. Managing the cross-border transport process is part of the concierge service. We discuss the logistics and documentation for your vehicle in advance. Required documents, permissions, and any applicable charges depend on the individual arrangement.
How long will collection and delivery take?
Timing depends on pickup location, travel connections, driving time, border processing, and the onward carrier’s schedule. We plan the itinerary with you. Allow flexibility for road, weather, border, or carrier delays rather than relying on a fixed delivery promise.
What insurance applies during the journey?
Confirm the cover for each stage before booking, including the personal driving leg, cross-border movement, and carrier transport. Coverage, limits, exclusions, and responsibilities should be clear in the agreed arrangements; do not assume your existing policy covers every stage.
Can this replace visiting La Paz when the restoration is finished?
